This is very good hip. I am a big fan of creative drawing. I also do some cartooning. I hope that I can come to your website for some help on that. I think I should grab one of your books. I see there’s one on knitting which is my mum’s passion. I would get that for me. I’m bookmarking this post for reference. Cheers!
Cheers John… there are great apps on tablets… not too expensive and very effective. I will try to post some later… good luck
I’m trying to learn how to be more creative in my own artwork. Do you have any tips or advice for me? I’m learning how to oil paint on canvas and I’m a total newbie beginner. I’ve got my supplies and canvas and paint and everything but now I just need some tips on how to get my creative art juices flowing! Thank you, I appreciate any help you can offer me and have a good day my friend.
Creativity is one thing and finding a way to express that is another one. Most apps on tablets are cost effective and very easy to work with. They give great results in few time and add a lot of fun on top of that. with the possibility to erase… and continue where you left. Some of those apps imitate all materials very well at lesser costs. All digital. My choice lately due to lack of time.As for oil on canvas… it is important to catch the light. It is a chemical process that takes time and patience. I used to paint a lot in september. Best is to use great oils. No synthetic stuff. And an ancient canvas as Well. Hope this helps A little. thank You!
I do not know what creative art is all about but I am a photographer who is really in love with what I do. Oak hoping that you can put up something on your website on photography that will be really helpful to me. I will check back. My friend who is also into painting wouldn’t mind some words of advice .
Oh wowPhotography! Another passion indeed. Creative photography could be taking the same picture from different angles, different time, different days,… playing with forms, dimensions, perspectives and light! In ancient times, paintings were their photographs. Some of them near to reality! On tablets, different apps, help you with the process. Unless you go for the real thing! Will try to write on that soon. You can visit here for some insights.
I believe creative art is an expression of someone’s talent and passion. It could also be an expression of how you feel during the time that you created it.Everyone has some form of artistic talent in them. Some more, some less, but we can always enhance and improve whatever we have. These talents that we have need to be shared so more people learn from us. The appreciation that these people give us would also uplift us and inspire us to create some more.Marita
Yes, true creativity lifts up, inspires and motivates. It is a language behind words. Pablo Picasso was one of them. Just like Salvator Dali. Their work is visionary.
Creativity does seem to be more of a luxury these days, sadly. So much hustle and bustle to earn a living, plan for the future. Without those who are allowed to just ‘create’ it does make you wonder where the future will come from.I watched a film the other day and there was a scene where the boss walked into one of the design areas and after about ten minutes he made eveyrone stop what they were doing, down tools on whatever they were working on. He then told them that for the remainder of the day, all they had to do was come up withone new product idea and it could be anything.Being freed from deadlines or cost restraints allowed for their creative minds to run free. Needless to say, the companies next ‘bestseller’ came from that afternoons session.
You are so right Twack. Art can be banalized, common, unpleasant and boring. Same routines, over and over. . Without any artistic component and often ego tripping. Creativity is a touch of genius… it can not be faked, nor commanded!
Creative art is a fascination of mine and has been for quite some time. There are pockets of locations all over the world where you will see artists, young and old, rethinking and presenting what art is in their mind and through selling and showing their unique contributions to the niche. The selection of books that you have featured all hit on different aspects of the art form, and there were a couple that I am going to follow up on. Thanks for the tips that you included in this post, most helpful, and it is nice that I have found a website that shares my interest in this art form.
Hi Dave… glad you liked it. Thank you for your kind appreciations. D
