Sunian Report – First Contact With the Frozen World

Glorious Solar Core, forgive me, for I have ventured into the abyss. I, Zy’thera, emissary of the Sun, have touched the frigid wasteland known as Earth… a realm so cold, so lifeless, I fear my very plasma has dimmed.

Initial Observations

The Weakness of Earth’s Beings

The creatures here are fragile beyond belief. Their exoskeletons—soft, porous, and dripping with liquid… seem incapable of withstanding even the mildest solar flare. They shudder at temperatures below 300 degrees Kelvin! How do they function? How do they not simply collapse under their own inefficiency?

The dominant species, known as humans, relies on “water” for survival—water, that feeble, unstable compound which disintegrates at true warmth. They speak of “heat waves” when their atmosphere barely registers as lukewarm. One of them, wrapped in dense fibrous coverings, trembled when I approached. The heat I radiate is but a whisper of home—yet they call it unbearable. Unbearable?!

Their Strange Forms of Energy

I had hoped to find a civilization that understood the art of plasma sculpting, of fusion dancing, of core stabilization. Instead, these beings burn the carcasses of ancient organisms for fuel. They call it ‘coal.’ Barbaric. Inefficient. Laughable. The Sun gives them light freely, yet they insist on scraping at their cold, dead ground for sustenance.

Even their greatest technological marvels are feeble. They trap photons in slabs of crystal to generate power at a rate so pitiful, I weep flares in despair. And yet, despite their weakness, they believe themselves mighty. They dream of reaching the stars, yet they recoil from a mere ember of my presence.

Communication Attempts

My attempts to speak with them caused great panic. When I pulsed a simple hydrogen resonance greeting, their primitive instruments exploded. When I condensed my words into plasma waves, their feeble atmosphere warped and distorted. They cannot withstand even a whisper of true radiance.

Finally, a group of their scientists devised a solution… an absurd contraption they call a “heat shield.” This fragile barrier allowed them to withstand my presence for a full 13 Earth minutes before they collapsed, overcome by what they called ‘extreme conditions.’ I had not even begun to warm up.

The Tragedy of Earth

This planet is a paradox, a world gifted with warmth yet terrified of it. The creatures scurry in the shadows, fearing my embrace, while they worship me from afar, building monuments to the Sun they could never survive upon. They call me ‘life-giver’ and ‘destroyer’ in equal measure.

Fascinating. Ridiculous. Pathetic.

I will return home to my kin and tell them of this frozen graveyard, this planet that fears its own Sun. They are not ready for our kind. Perhaps, in another million rotations, they will learn to embrace the flame.

Until then, I leave them to their fragile existence.
