Hi,
Nice poem, I like the idea that we need to set our moon time as well as the sun time. Can we, as humans ever really be in tune with our galaxy or is it beyond our comprehension.
What do you think it would take for us to get in tune?
Tony
Hi Tony
The place where we stand is unique in the cosmos. It has an exact latitude and longitude. With an exact position of sun and moon… combining all is the exact time.
Easy no?
Hi! Interesting poem. I’ve been trying to learn how to write poems and be more inventive with my creative mind. Lets see.. Tick-tock, hickory clock, sun and moon over my hammy.. universe open wide and let me inside for I am become one with thee stars and trees.. okay I just made that one up on the fly, I know it sucks I need work. Do you have any tips for how I can improve upon my creativity? Thank you so much I appreciate it.
Add wisdom to it… it comes over the years
And learn the techniques, until you master them …
I have always known that the moon and sun are relevant to our well being but I didn’t know that it was such a big thing for the Maya. In the Western world we go to sleep at night and wake when the sun rises and that’s it. But the elements can offer us so much more! Your post points out how a civilisation, who up until now I have never heard see so much more. They have mastered the ability to use the moon and sun to make calendars and predict changes in the moon. Their abilities to make these mathematical calculations is as good if not better than the Egyptians, who up until now were the only mathematicians I thought were worthy of such a title. Your post is a great piece of information, keep up the good work.
Yes… the mayan clocks are unbeaten. More precise than our atomic clocks.
It tells something about our stupidity or pride to adapt to nature. And not vice versa.
Working with natural laws is the biggest asset. And very few know bout it and use it indeed.
Time to change! No?
